We call this the Guest Room!

Please keep in mind that this room is not finished, and doubles as my craft room :) I love it! Should yuo ever travel to our neck of the woods, Indiana you are welcome to stay here! *hint, hint Florida folks!

I have a window treatment planned for that window, but it really is not a priority at this point. Maybe one day it will get purchased and installed!

Books, photo albums, scrapbooks and The Mr.'s bass guitar. *The butterfly rug, my little brother Hunter made for me one Christmas when he was in elementary school :)



Side of the bed and closet.

Scrapbook desk and dresser, which still has some of The Mr.'s clothes in it. Also, a shadow box from my Aunt with wedding related things along with one of the centerpieces from our wedding.

My old Florida license plate...and LOTS of scrapbooking stuff!

The oh.so.comfy bed you will sleep in if you are an overnight visitor of ours. (I plan on painting a headboard on the wall, but I am saving that for a rainy day project!)

This is the car that my cousin (our ring bearer) carried in our wedding. So vintage and pretty! :)

We call this the Dining Room

The dining room in our apartment works well with the layout of the apartment, and is totally usable too. At the first few apartments we looked at they either did not have a place for a dining room or kitchen table, or had carpet in the kitchen; which was the only place there was room for a table. It was frustrating to me! When we walked into the apartment we currently live in, I may have done a happy dance because there was a place for the kitchen/dining room table. YIPEE!

 We painted one wall red, which we both really like :) I had a red wall in Florida and this reminds me of it, although it is completely different. The mirror on the wall actually is falling apart and I think it is too small for such a large wall...no worries, it is no longer there! We picked up a replacement at Hobby Lobby on Friday...pictures to come!

 Immediately when you walk in the door to our apartment, the dining room is on the right and it is open with the living room. You can also see into the kitchen as shown in the above picture. I purposely did not photograph the light above the table because, well...it is pretty ugly. Again, I am thankful to have a dining room so that does not really matter. We could change the light, but since it is just an apartment we decided not to put any upgrading into this place. What's the point?

Now you can see our coat closet and heater along the wall. That heater controls all the heaters in the apartment...kinda cool. I also really like having the big closet for our coats and miscellaneous things like games and tools too, it is very handy!

I plan on taking some pictures of the new addition on the red wall sometime this week before we put up the Christmas decorations, and when I do I will write a post about it so you can see. I think it looks much better than the old mirror! Hope you enjoyed this tour of our dining room, stop by next week for more :)



We call this the Living Room :)

Some things have changed at our apartment since when I first moved in in September. Now that we are both living there there is more stuff, more movies, and more people :) All good things! Here are some updated pictures of our cozy living room.

 Here is our lovely TV and entertainment stand, thanks Mom and Dad for that Christmas gift last year! You can also see Stephen's DVD collection on the left :)

 This is just another angle of the TV wall. I love the candle holder that Mom got from Yankee Candle, it is perfect!

 Of course we have fall decorations, you know me! This picture was mainly to show the beautiful wedding picture and frame from Mrs. Tina in Florida. Thanks Mrs. Tina it looks great in our living room!

 Big comfy reading chair with the super soft blanket from Aunt Mary. usually we sit on the couch, but I try to sit in this chair occasionally too. It really is supper big and comfy!

Agh...better lighting for picture taking :) The next thing I want to do in the living room is get new end tables to match the coffee table and entertainment center...all in time, it is not a priority!

The last picture is of the end table closest to the sliding glass door. Above it hangs the family pictures we had taken in my grandparents back yard two years ago while Grandpa was still alive. I am not sure I will ever change those pictures out...love them and miss him!

Pictures of Our Apartment!

Welcome to our home :) I am getting settled in now and Stephen will be after the wedding. It is nice to be unpacked. I think it is making adjusting to Indiana much better. Thank you so much to everyone who helped move me in!

That is our balcony on the 3rd floor :) It is festive with fall Mum's that I LOVE and I have not killed yet!

I have been told that this door is a dead giveaway that a woman lives here...oh well!

First room you walk into is our cozy living room. We painted one wall "Golfers Tan" and it looks great! I love the big sliding glass door and all the light that comes in!

So glad Mom talked me into bringing some of my patio furniture. It fits perfectly on our tiny little porch/balcony!

Now you enter the dining room. It is bright red! Stephen and his Dad had some difficulty painting this wall...I think it took 3 coats!?! It reminds me of my red wall in Florida, which makes me heart happy :)

Hallway view to Master bedroom, Spare Bedroom and Bathroom...

The spare bedroom is coming along now. We moved Stephen's dresser and desk in last weekend and now I have a place to scrapbook. I am very excited about that!

Love our bathroom color and "D" towels from Aunt Mary and Beth...they look GREAT in our bathroom!
