Weekend Wrap Up :)

We had another good weekend, but sadly it did not produce anything really blog worthy. I actually did not take any pictures all weekend, can you believe it?! Shocker I know! Friday night The Mr. and I did some grocery shopping then came home and cooked in PJS and watched the second Narnia movie...now we are ready to see the 3rd one :) The Mr. had been re-reading the book, but I am not that into it...

Saturday we finished our Christmas Shopping. Can you hear the angels singing the hallelujah chorus in the background? I can! The store were crazy and packed to capacity so I am glad to have that done. I really wish Christmas was less about Santa Claus and gifts and more about the birth of Jesus. I like Santa Claus and gifts, but I also love Jesus! Anyways, we finished that up and got some wrapping done later in the weekend too! Saturday night we had dinner at The Mr.'s bosses house with his co-workers. It was a fun evening with delicious food!

Sunday we woke up to snow and quite a bit of it. It started snowing again right when we were leaving for church...of course and it was blowing! The wind was so cold and strong, wow! It really was something I had never seen before. It snowed pretty much all day Sunday with a good amount of accumulation. We were actually under a lake effect snow and winter storm advisory or warning. {What is the difference between advisory and warning anyways?} The weather man made it sound like we might get snowed in, getting 10-14 inches of snow overnight. Thankfully, that did not happen. We are in store for more snow this week though and very cold temperatures. Speaking of, I believe it is 9 degrees outside now...brr!

That is pretty much it for our weekend, we are looking forward to the possibility of going to Chicago next weekend and Florida the next! We hope you all had a great weekend and have a good week also. I leave you with this, the real and only reason for the season:

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:6

Josh and I are wanting to watch the 1st & 2nd movies before we see the 3rd Narnia. I contemplated reading the book too, but I don't have enough time right now...I don't think. ;-)
