Surprises, PF Changs, and Birthdays!

The surprise trip to Indiana was a complete success. For a few minutes I thought I was not going to make my flight in Atlanta, thus not making it to Indianapolis for the surprise...but everything worked out wonderfully. I landed in Indianapolis and raced to PF Changs with my friend Serena. Stephen and his family had just sat down and were taking their orders. I walked in while the waitress was taking Stephen's order and it felt like I was standing behind him for ten minutes...really it was only like 30 seconds but still! I calmly sat down beside him and he did a double take so fast that he almost fell out of his chair! Surprise!

We had a great time at PF Changs and then a long drive home. I love being in Indiana with Stephen...8 days until I am back in the state :)

(Thanks to Robin for taking all the pictures when I got there-you rock!)

I'm leavin' on a jet plane...

or I left on a jet plane...yesterday. SURPRISE! See, for over a month I have been working on this plan to surprise Stephen on his birthday in Indy. I have worked all the details out over countless emails and text messages with some friends up there and his family. If all went as planned, I landed at 8:17pm and greeting him at PF Changs at 9pm for a birthday dinner...I will post after this weekend and let you know how that worked out :)

I hope he is surprised!! Happy Birthday Stephen!

Savannah Rae

Today we went to my cousin's house to spend some time with the newest member of our family, Savannah Rae. Savannah is special to me because we share a birthday, so now I can finally have joint birthday parties with someone :) Sure, I will turn 33 when she turns 10 but it will be a blast! She slept the entire time we were with her, but we did not mind watching her sleep. She is so beautiful!

Here are some pictures from our afternoon with the baby and her family. Enjoy her cuteness. I hope to get many more pictures of her soon!

In case you did not know...

...being unemployed stinks! That is putting it lightly actually...I have been unemployed now for almost 4ish weeks, and everyday on average I have submitted 5 resumes either via fax or email to different companies all over North Florida and Indiana. What has the outcome been? 3 interviews; 2 that went well and 1 that was extremely interesting. I am sure something will come up soon, right?

Derrick at Access on Tuesday spoke about everything happening and being in our lives for a purpose. I am sure this time is the Lord's way of preparing me for something in my future. My prayer is that my eyes, and heart are open to hear his will.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Vacation part 3: DISNEY!

The final stop of our vacation was Fort Wilderness Campground in Disney. We spent a few days with my family here in the campground, swimming and riding bikes around. Stephen had never been to Disney so we had to show him around and teach him the transportation system there. We had a great dinner at the Lodge on Saturday night at one of my favorite places to eat at Disney! Monday was my birthday and we spent the day at Disney's Hollywood Studios. We almost successfully rode Rockin' Roller Coaster 3 times...until they shut it down due to technical difficulties. Boo! Still it was a great day that ended with cupcakes and Disney fireworks!

Vacation part 2: Destin, FL

Destin was not a scheduled stop on our vacation, but when we were driving back through Florida from Alabama we decided to go out of our way and stop and see the prettiest beaches in Florida. They really are the prettiest beaches in Florida! As soon as we crossed the bridge and I could see the crystal clear aqua water I was so excited I could barely stay in my seat! The water and sand...everything about these beaches were breathtaking! I was in awe that something so beautiful was so close to home. I had seen water like this in the Bahamas and Mexico...but now I found it only a few hours from home. YAY! Going out of our way to see Destin was totally worth it!

On a side note: Danny Wuerffel is from Destin and has a street named after him. Of course I stopped to take a picture! Go Gators!

Vacation part 1: Alabama

The first leg of our vacation was to Gulf Shores, Alabama. I was really excited because I have never been to Alabama...sad to say that but it is true. It seemed weird to be leaving Florida to go on a beach vacation, I mean we have beaches here! The drive was not bad at all, but that may be because I slept for quite a bit while Stephen drove. We had a great time with his family and did many things including: pool, beach, shopping, putt putt golf, go carts, and lots of eating! Speaking of eating, we had dinner one night at Lambert's Cafe. Lambert's, come to find out, has been featured on the Travel Channel and it was delicious. I would love to go back-it was such a fun experience. If you want details you can email me or check their website at: http://throwedrolls.com/. Stephen nieces were so much fun the entire time, I especially liked when they buried Stephen in the sand...only I did not know that I was next :) We have been getting sand out of our ears for the past week!

Here are some fun pictures from our few days at the beach in Alabama...enjoy!

Birthdays & Babies!

I am back home from and amazing vacation, but Stephen is not. Unfortunately he was stuck in Charlotte, NC last night due to US Airways...but we will be home soon. We had a great time in Alabama and Florida, I promise to post pictures from the trip soon!

We have a new member in our family now...Savannah Rae! She was born on my birthday, August 10th weighing 8lbs 8oz. She really is beautiful. Baby and Mommy got to come home from the hospital yesterday and I am sure they are enjoying their time together at home now. Welcome to the world Savannah, we all love you so much already!

Isn't she beautiful? Congratulations Billy and Heather and big brother Will! Love you guys!
