Shower Recap...

My first bridal shower Friday was A.W.E.S.O.M.E. I had such a great time! On the way to the church I was talking to Stephen and mentioned that I was nervous about being the center of attention. He kindly reminded me that this was a Bridal Shower and I am the bride so of course I would be the center of attention. Luckily it was not bad at all. Here are some pictures from the night:

Keri made the cupcakes, which tasted delicious...yum yellow cake with buttercream frosting. That girl knows how to bake! Actually, all of the food was delicious. It was one of my favorite parts!! We got so many gifts and some were so creative. Here is a list of some things we received:
*Embroidered "D" towels
*Lots of games :)
*Bake wear that was wrapped in dish towels instead of paper!
*A very cool Red mixing bowl full of red kitchen gadgets...they all match!
*Minnie and Mickey salt and pepper shakers
and a ton other things...

It was a very successful night. Thank you everyone who came out. Your love and support means the world to Stephen and I both! I have got to go get started writing those thank you cards now :) (While I watch The Bachelorette of course!)

Welcome to Ohio!

On my last trip up to IN, Stephen and I had the chance to go back to Cedar Pointe in Ohio with some of his family members; James and Liz. The morning started out realllly early but it was totally worth it! Last year when we went to Cedar Pointe (my first time) I had not been feeling well, so I knew this year had to be better and it was! We had a great day and rode everything we wanted to ride. Given the day we went was the 4th of July weekend, we expected HUGE crowds and long line but to our surprise neither were present. Now for the big announcement...(drum roll please...)...

I RODE THE MILLENNIUM FORCE!!! WOOOHOO!

Here is what Wikipedia says about the Millennium Force:
Angle of lift hill: 45 degrees
Angle of first drop: 80 degrees
First hill height: 310 ft (94 m)
Second hill height: 169 ft (52 m)
Third hill height: 182 ft (55 m)
Fourth hill height: 100 ft (30 m)
Maximum speed: 93 mph
Four overbanked turns
Two tunnels
Four hills

Okay, so it is not the fastest or baddest now but I am still super proud of myself for riding it twice...yep, twice and both times were AWESOME. I would so go back just to ride it again, definitely my favorite coaster now. Sorry Rockin' Roller Coaster, you have been pushed to second.

Here are some pictures throughout the day. Enjoy!!

Better Butter Wake Tour

Hunter is moving up in the world of wakeboarding! Last Saturday was his second wakeboarding competition at Victory Lake in Jacksonville. Friday he went out in the boat with our cousin Danny around 4 for some practicing hours, and when I got off work they picked me up at the boat ramp so he could have his photographer with him. It is all about the pictures, you know! He really is improving every time he goes out and stepping up his tricks. Wakeboarding has a completely different language so I cannot actually tell you the names of the tricks...but you get the idea! Here are some shots of him over the last couple of weeks. Most of these are in Black Creek on his Friday practice run:

I had a pretty nice view, I'd have to admit! I love being out on the boat!

That's all until the next competition in August. Good luck Hunter!

It's getting closer!

October 2nd will be here before we know it and there is so much to do! Last week I set up shop in the living room on the coffee table and spend hours assembling wedding invitations. Note: I want everyone to know when you receive your invite, that a lot of love when into it's birth! Okay, so back on track...I spent hours accomplishing miscellaneous wedding stuff while watching Betheny Getting Married on Bravo, I seriously love that show! It is perfect to have on while working on wedding details...and boy, are there a lot of details!! Here is the shop, I'd say it is pretty organized...

On another wedding note, we received our first wedding gift last week too! I knew my friend Brooke (who I met on a cruise to Jamaica) was sending me a birdcage to use at the reception but I did not know there would be something unexpected in the package! Brooke and her Mom were so thoughtful and send us brown embroidered towels. They made my day, thank you so much Lisa and Brooke!

Can't wait to become and Mrs.

Our 4th :)

Stephen and I had a great 4th of July in Indiana. After spending the day in Ohio at Cedar Point we were exhausted! The heat and roller coasters really does take a lot out of you! We started the say in Sunday School and then headed out for Mexican. Yum! Americans should totally eat Mexican food on Independence Day, right?!? We followed the Mexican with a cool ice cream at East End. It was delicious!

After lunch we headed home and went out in the garden to check and pick the vegetables. We picked so many green beans that we decided to make fresh green beans for dinner. I thought it was so awesome to know that we hand picked the green beans that morning, cleaned, cooked and were able to enjoy them that evening. After picking the garden we actually got back in our PJs...we are such a lively couple! We watched The Wizard of Ox and Nathan's Hot dog Eating Competition, and whoa...should anyone ever eat 54 hot dogs in 10 minutes? The answer is NO!! We cleaned, and started cooking the green beans and started the rest of dinner. Since we had such an unamerican lunch I wanted to have a very American dinner :) Hot dogs, green beans and mac-n-cheese it was :) Everything turned out delicious, even though they were turkey hot dogs.

After dinner we spent some time looking through baby pictures of Stephen to use in the wedding slide show. It was fun to look at old pictures of his family and see how cute he was a a baby and child. I really, really enjoyed this part of the day! When we started hearing the fireworks we headed to Mexico, IN to watch the fireworks display on the baseball field.

It really was a great day! Hope every one's 4th was great too!
