Welcome back family & friends and thanks for joining us for Part 2 of our vacation re-cap!
On Monday, March 19th we packed up headed to Orlando, Florida to meet my Mom & Brother at Fort Wilderness Campground at Disney. Before hitting the road (again) we snapped some pictures with Gram by her beautiful azalea bushes!
Thankfully the drive to Orlando is only about 2 hours, which didn't seem too bad compared to our long drive to get to Florida in the first place! We stopped at Chic-Fil-A for lunch and soon we were at Disney!

You may be seeing this photo on our 2012 Christmas card...I am already planning it! :)
There were many dogs camping with our group. The above dog belongs to Hannah and is close to Louie's size only female and much younger. I have never seen Louie play with another dog, so it was surprising to see them play. It really was so cute, they really liked each other!
We spent the evening eating Disney pizza and shopping at the different trading posts located at Fort Wilderness. Louie was not a fan on camping at this point and would not eat, or stop panting. I was so worried about him! We slept in the Altman's RV with Hannah since her parents had left for the night to head back to jax for a Drs. appt. We ended up watching Foot Loose and I really liked it! Stephen said that did not surprise him at all...Louie still would not eat or drink...we didn't sleep very well...
It was a long night!
On Tuesday we didn't do much. Between being tired and worrying about Louie we were not having too much fun. It seemed no matter where we left him he was nervous and unhappy-especially if there was another dog around. Thankfully my cousin Beth was super helpful in trying to provide a place for Louie to relax so we could enjoy some time at Disney. As luck would have it...just when we were not worried about Louie and were ready to catch a boat/bus to Downtown Disney the camper broke. Well, not the camper but something in the camper. Specifically something in the camper that allowed us to use the power and AC. Oh boy!
We did get away for a little bit after Mom talked to Dad several times, but we didn't really have time to go to Downtown Disney so we headed to the Contemporary Hotel instead. They have a great view of the Magic Kingdom so we took advantage of that and got to use our new camera lens too, a win-win in my book! :)

Before heading back to the campground I found some beautiful cupcakes that made me happy! I got a lemon raspberry one and Stephen chose some kind of chocolate. I will say that Disney knows how to do lots of things...cupcakes included. They were very yummy!
We stopped to snap a picture before getting the boat back to the campground with my Mom.
Back at the campground we put together dinner and then I went to get Louie and try and feed him while he was at Beth's camper...it wasn't good. He was barking and sweating up a storm...really, you could see paw prints wherever he walked from his sweaty paws. Not to mention he had peed in a not good location, stressing me out further. I just felt so horrible for him and how scared he must have been....we cleaned up, ate dinner and starting thinking about leaving Disney early and going back to Grams. Leaving Disney was not what we wanted to do, but after a few hours it was clear that's what we needed to do. Wants and needs do not always match up...
And just like that we were back on the road again.
Stay tuned for part 3!
