It is Monday (not that I am happy about that fact) and you know what that means...weekend wrap up!! The Mr. and I had a GREAT weekend again. So great that I would give it is 10 on a 1-10 scale. That is pretty big folks!
Friday we had plans right after work to go to the Orthopedic Skills Center for a concert that was being put on by Grave College. Addison Road was the band of the night. I had never been to this location before, but it was so nice because it was very close to our apartment. The concert was good, we both really enjoyed it and we had really good seats :) After the concert we took advantage of a buy one get one free coupon Ruby Tuesday had mailed out last week. Man oh man, do I love me some Ruby's salad bar! Yum!
Saturday we woke up to snow! This girl was excited! I actually got up out of bed on a Saturday before 8 to get a picture before cars drove all over it...then I went back to bed of course! After sleeping in for awhile on Saturday we got up and headed to the library, post office and then the village at Winona. We had read that there was a Christmas open house event going on at the shops there this weekend and well...it was a disappointment. I expected Christmas crafts or at least sales of some sorts. There was nothing like that, but we will enjoyed walking around in the snow holding hands. We ate at one of my favorite restaurants in the Village; Cerulean's. We had eaten there for dinner some time last year with friends and recently bought a Groupon from there so we finally went again and used our Groupon. It was DELICIOUS. Their lunch menu is nothing short of awesome and I do think we will be back. We sat out on an enclosed porch or sorts by a big window that overlooked some cute houses on the canal, which had started to freeze over and we could watch it snow the entire time we were eating. It really was an awesome lunch date with my man!
The apartment parking lot early Saturday morning...covered in snow!
Yes, that is my silver Honda Civic...covered in snow!
This is what I have to get used to doing now on a regular basis. Thank goodness Stephen let me steal his snow brush out of his car!
YUM!
My lunch: peanut ginger chicken over sticky rice, wasabi potato salad, edamame, and some fancy but so good salad!
Stephen's lunch...I can't remember exactly what he had but he loved it too!
Let the fun of eating with chop sticks begin!
Yeah, I was successful...maybe for the first time ever!
Pretty view out a snowy window at lunch :)
Because it was snowing I thought it felt like Christmas and thus I HAD to watch a Christmas movie. We preferred to watch one that neither of us had seen, so what do we do? Stop at Redbox of course! I got the only Christmas movie they had; The Dog Who Saved Christmas. It was pretty cheesy and Stephen fell asleep but it worked for what I wanted!
Saturday afternoon we headed to Breman for "Holy Walk". Stephen's cousin Tim joined us for this and they both had been before. You check in at the high school gym and wait for your group to be called...I think we waited about 2 hours. The guys knew this was the process and had come prepared with cards...only I don't really know how to play cards...so "go fish" was popular! I took several pictures during Holy Walk so you can get the idea of what it entailed. The tour starts when you are bussed from the school gym to a local farm. The bus is much like a time machine, taking you back to Biblical times. The two hour-long walk gives visitors a look at Mary’s and Joseph’s trip from Nazareth to Bethlehem. We saw an angel speak to the shepherds, and had several run into rough Roman soldiers, visited the Bethlehem Inn — where like Mary, we were told there is no room, and witnessed the stable where baby Jesus lay. It really was a very neat experience and a wonderful way to be reminded of the true reason for Christmas. Even though it was freezing and we were walking in snow, we had a great time!
First group picture in the gym...almost time for our group to be called!
Lots and lots of layers!
Oh little town of Bethlehem...
:)
Snuck a picture of a Roman Guard without him yelling at me "eyes forward!" They were really scary actually!
Baby Jesus! Tim says they actually use real babies and rotate them every 30 minutes so they do not get too cold. I am not sure, but it sounds good!
Last group picture outside...almost finished with the walk. We were freezing...like really, I could not feel my toes!
The newlyweds :)
This is my get me inside I am freezing face!
After the walk we headed back to our apartment after picking up some pizza. The guys, being so kind, let me pick what movie we would watch as long as it was not Friends, or another Nickolas Sparks movie. So, Fools Gold it was :) We had a great time and enjoyed the company...it was a late night!
Sunday we had plans to go to our nieces basketball games and Christmas carolling with the church, but sometimes your plans just fall apart. We stayed home and just relaxed...we each enjoyed a lazy Sunday afternoon nap! Our awesome weekend had to come to an end...Monday always promises to show up! We hope you all had great weekend as well and as always, we look forward to the next one!

I LOVE Addison Road. If you don't have their CD Stories, buy it! Its one of my faves! They recently played a women's conference at my mom-in-law's church.
Also...jealous (kinda) of the snow. It looks so pretty!
Wow that is a LOT of snow! I'm anything but jealous...sorry! :( Your food looked sooo yummy!!! :):)
