Weekend Wrap Up :)

All I can say is...we had a GREAT weekend. What other word could I use to describe a weekend with lots of shopping, scrapbooking, playing in the snow and good food? Okay, Okay-some other words come to find: awesome, fantastic, fun filled, epic, super...you get the idea and hopefully where I am going with this.

On with the update!

FRIDAY: We had a date on our couch, in our pajamas, and with a bag of sour gummy worms. It was my idea of perfection! We both received so many new DVD's for Christmas that we have been watching a new movie almost every time we sit down to watch TV or a movie; other than Friends of course! So Friday, we decided to watch the new Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland. I realize we may be the last two people in the United States to see this movie, but we are both okay with that! We both surprisingly enjoyed the plot and its deviations from the original Walt Disney masterpiece. We went to be pretty early and then slept late on Saturday...

SATURDAY: The Mr. got up before me; I woke up at...11:00am. Agh...it was so nice to sleep so late! We got up, ate breakfast and started getting ready. I was more excited than The Mr. because we were going shopping, at an outdoor outlet mall, and well it was really cold outside! We layered up and headed to Michigan City, IN for some retail therapy. (much needed for me!) We had a few things to take back to Eddie Bauer and then just wanted to go into a few stores, and boy did we get good deals! Here is a short list of the steals deals we got:
  • $9.99 Eddie Bauer Corduroys (Men & Women)
  • $9.99 Eddie Bauer Cashmere Cotton Women's Cardigan
  • $6.49 GAP Flannel 2 piece Women's PJ Set
  • $6.49 GAP Men's cotton/wool Sweater
  • $10.00 Two Medium Yankee Candle Tumblers
  • $29.98 Columbia Men's Ski Jacket
There were icicles everywhere and some were so big! These were at the outlet on the side of a building...

The outlet mall is almost 2 hours away from our apartment, so we headed back to our neck of the woods and decided to cook dinner at home instead of eating out to save some money. We got home close to 9pm and indulged on frozen pizza and raw carrots and celery-yum. Then we put all of our purchases away and organized the ones that were gifts before heading to bed.

SUNDAY: We got up at 8 to start getting ready for church. I was not feeling the best on Sunday, but we went anyways. After church we had to stop at K-Mart for laundry detergent and then we were home for the rest of the day. I really enjoyed this-even though we spent $10 to do our laundry in our apartment building. It was just so nice to be home, and relaxing on a Sunday. After eating lunch and starting the 1st and 2nd load, I retreated to the spare bedroom to work on our wedding scrapbook. I got so much accomplished! It felt so good to sit down and let the creativity flow out onto the paper, and I really like the pages that I finished. They are really good too! The Mr. watched football for most of the afternoon until I begged him to go outside in the snow with me. I really wanted to have a snowball fight, but the snow would not pack. So, we walked around the apartment complex and I made a snow angel before calling it a day.

Frozen and snow covered golf course on the way to church Sunday

6 degrees!?!?!??!

These trees were SO beautiful, they sparkled in the sunlight!

Getting ready to go play in the snow!

EXCITED!

Yum!

Pretty sunset to end the day :)
And that is our weekend in a nut shell. Since I spent most of Sunday in our guest room, and I still have not shared it with you maybe I will do that tomorrow. I will make sure I have some good pictures tonight! Hope everyone has a great Monday!

I still have not seen Alice in Wonderland!!
I LOVE all the snow pictures...however, I'll enjoy the rain today instead of the snow (thank goodness!) that mess is just TOO cold for me! =)
