I am a dreamer. I am a planner...and sometimes my plans start evolving from my dreams if that makes sense. Anyways, today I am dreaming of being here:
Smathers Beach- Key West, Florida

The Mr. and I talking, planning, and dreaming about a tropical get-a-way for our first anniversary in October and we would LOVE to hit the Key's! Isn't it just beautiful? I think I will just close my eyes and pretend I am there a little bit longer before getting back to the real world in Indiana :)
We are researching hotel options and discussion activities that we would like to do, but if you have any advice please let us know! Have you been to the Keys and had a good or bad experience? We want to hear it because, honestly; Trip Advisor will scare anyone out of renting a hotel room-there are no good reviews! I have been to the Key's once with my family, but we camped in our RV for a week so this trip will be a little different. If we go, it will be The Mr.'s first trip!
Happy Friday!

Ooh, YAY! I LOVE Hawk's Cay resort (hawkscay.com) for the beautiful hotel, rooms, service, views, poolS, and accessibility to a variety of activities. You can go really fancy or you can do a basic hotel room (which is still super nice.) My husband family go every couple of years and We plan on going back next time we are in the States!
We love just sitting by the different pools, renting bikes, going snorkling etc. I really want to swim with dolphins and go parasailing on our next trip!
Jared and I went to Key West last summer and it was wonderful!
My husband and I just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Sanibel because we had limited time and getting there from Indiana was a non-stop 2 1/2 hour flight. Key West was going to take all day to get there and another to get back and we only had 4 days total. We stayed at the Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort and Spa and it was soooo nice. We took a taxi to Sanibel island and biked around the whole island (very cheap) and had great seafood and just enjoyed the sun. We lounged around the pool, walked on trails, ate food, watched dolphins, dinner cruises, drank drinks...just relaxed. I've heard Key West is really fun and has tons of stuff to do. Anywhere warm, that you can get to will be so much fun.
Danielle, I am with you-anywhere warm and sunny would be SO nice! Thankfully it does not take that long to get to the Key's from IN. Our flights leave INDY at 7am and we are in our hotel by 11am. You can fly direct from IND to Kay West and bypass ATL and Miami, thankfully!
Where in IN are you?
