Reading and funnies

I have been reading Karen Kingsbury's Redemption Series since February when my sister in law, Melissa suggested it. Oh my goodness, I cannot put these books down! I just started a new one last night and I was sharing with Stephen some of the reviews that are posted in the beginning of the book from other readers. They were too funny and I agree with most of them!

"My friend Shelly and I call your books 'peanut butter books' because when we start reading we just can't stop, and our families know it's peanut butter and jelly for dinner that night!" -Cathy S.

"Everyone should have the opportunity to read or listen to a book by Karen Kingsburg. It should be in the Bill of Rights." -Rachel S.

These women are right. Karen Kingsbury is an amazingly talented woman of God and she can write books that captivate their readers so well. I constantly have to remind myself that the characters are fictional and I am not going to run into Ashely Baxter Blake or Katy Hart at the store or post office-though I would really enjoy that! I feel like these characters are my friends! Seriously, if you have not read a book by Kingsbury pick one up today. The Redemption series is a great place to start!

On another note: I like veggie burgers. So much that I order them pretty frequently if they are available at restaurants or fast food places. Last night, Stephen and I went out to get gas because gas prices are going to skyrocket this week and then decided to stop for dinner before running some other errands. Anyways, they have a veggie burger now. I ordered it and thought it was so good. I pointed out to Stephen that there was rice in the patty and asked if he wanted to try it.  The conversation went something like this:

Me: "Oh look, there is rice in the patty!"

Stephen: (examining my food) "I see that"

Me: "Do you want to taste it? It is really good-better than Burger King's veggie burger!"

Stephen: "No, not even a little bit."

Me: "What do you have against veggie burgers?"

Stephen: "Everything!"

Hahaha, made me laugh. At least I know I won't have to share my veggie burger with him ever!
