ABC's of me=em!

Just because I am low on anything substantially post worthy I thought I would share these ABC's. I have seen them popping up on other blogs that I read daily and thought that it might be fun o share some facts about me since I have some new followers :) Feel free to post on your blog if you would like!

A. Age: 24 until August :)

B. Bed size: Queen...maybe a King one day, but for now the Queen works perfectly!

C. Chore you dislike: I like to clean...a lot. I am one of those people who basically do it just because. That being said, I pretty much like it all-except hair. I don't like dealing with hair...eww. I totally get that from my Mom. Thanks Mom!

D. Dogs: We do not have dogs :( I grew up having dogs for pets and really miss seeing them all the time. Mom does text me pictures of little Bristol and Chance frequently though so that does help!

Chance or Sir-Chance-a-lot :) We got him when I was in high school and he is so sweet! A little crazy, but sweet!

Bristol. He was Mom's mother's day present a few years ago. He makes his home wherever he can; even in my suitcase.

E. Essential start to your day:  First I check my blood sugar and then I usually have juice because I almost always wake up on the low side...after that I need a diet coke! :)

F. Favorite color: I feel like my favorite color changes too frequently. It is usually, yellow, pink, purple, teal, or some sort of blue.

G. Gold or silver: Silver or white gold.

H. Height: 5'9"

I. Instruments you play(ed): I did take piano lessons for some time when I was little, but I really do not remember anything other than my teacher was mean! I wish instead of quitting we just found a teacher that was better fitted for me. I would love to still be able to play! My Dad is very musical and can play almost anything!

J. Job title: "Contract Sales Clerk A" basically what that means is that I am the administrative assistant for the contract sales department and the VP.

K. Kids: I used to always say no, but now I am leaning more towards maybe one day! I still have a huge heart for adoption and would love to adopt too. Maybe we will have biological and adopted children!

N. Nicknames: Em, M&M (like the candy), emmels-that one has stuck since high school. My friend Sara crafted it and then teachers started calling me that too!

O. Overnight hospital stays: Well let's see...there has been a few. First when I was 4 and was bitten by a pygmy rattler snake. I believe I was in the hospital for nearly a week and I know that I missed the first week of Kindergarten. Also, I was in the hospital for over a week when I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). That hospital stay started out at one hospital then I was transported to the ICU at a Children's hospital. I remember getting lots of flowers and locking myself in the bathroom so the nurse could not give me shots or prick my finger. I also remember my Uncle Chuck volunteering to let the nurse prick the tip of his nose if I let her prick my finger :) Another hospital stay was when I started insulin pump therapy. I stayed overnight one night just to stabilize my blood sugars and learn more about pump therapy and how it worked.

P. Pet peeves: I don't really like loud eaters. My parents taught us good manners growing up which means you do not smack your food and you certainly do not chew with your mouth open!

Q. Quote from a movie: ohhh, I don't know I like so many movies! I could probably come up with a favorite "Friends" quote though!

R. Reading material: Currently I cannot put down Karen Kingsbury books. My sister-in-law recommended them and I am so glad she did!

 S. Siblings: My baby brother, Hunter. He is 8 years younger than me and I loved using him as my baby doll when he was itty bitty :) I also now have a sister-in-law, Melissa and two brother-in-laws, Adam and Greg.

T. Time you wake up: On work days around 6:30, but on the weekend I like to sleep in!

U. Underwear: Yes! :)

V. Vegetables you don’t like: I do not like sprouts, asparagus, or cauliflower but I like most other veggies!

W. What makes you run late: Not being able to make a decision in my closet. I refer to this as a wardrobe malfunction.

X. X-rays you’ve had: Dental, leg when broken, wrist when fractured, and probably a few others!

Y. Yummy food you make: Cakes & Cupcakes, enchiladas, and The Mr. really liked the taco salad that I threw together last week at the last minute! We do Mexican a lot :)

Z. Zoo animal favorites: I love the monkeys and the giraffes. At the Jacksonville Zoo you can get so close and actually pet the giraffe's. I love that!

And that is all if have for this Monday funday. But coming tomorrow is our weekend update and boy it's a good one! Some of the highlights are an antique china cabinet purchase and Stephen eating a 5lb hamburger! Hope you have a great day! I am looking forward to the weekend...only 5 days to go. Woo!
